Eilenriede

Markthalle
The “Markthalle” (the belly of Hanover) offers an enourmous variation of food stalls and small bistros. Discover the booths and shops!
They offer a variety of fresh groceries, delicatessen and international dishes. Enjoy the very own atmosphere with a glass champagne or wine.
The “Markthalle” is close to Concorde Hotel Am Leineschloss.
Maschsee
The Maschsee was artificially constructed from 1934 until 1936 in the Leinemasch (Leine marsh). It is well-known across the area and one of Hanover’s most popular destination for leisure.
Relax at the lake or enjoy the nature with a long walk.
Mashsee has so much more to offer! How about a canoe tour? Try stand up paddeling or enjoy on a yacht tour.
Our event tipp for summer: visit the Mashsee festival. On the lake and arounf the lake cabaret, music, food and fireworks will be presented.
The Kröpcke Uhr
The “Kröpcke Uhr” is a common meeting place for a stroll around Hanover’s pedestrian zone in the city.

The "Nanas"
The french artist Niki de Saint Phalle created 1974 these gaudy statues. Next to them, every saturday a big flea market takes place – the oldest market in Germany.
The “Nanas” are part of the sculpture lane, perfect for a walk!
New town hall
After 12 years of construction, the new town hall was inaugurated on 20.Juni 1913. Take the unique elevator up to the dome, changing the angle of the inclination for 17 °. Glass ceiling and floor allow an awesome view over the city.
Opera house
Opera, concerts, ballet – the lower saxony state theatre offers not only beautifully arranged shows but also a very special experience in this gorgeous building.
The Royal Gardens of Herrenhausen
In the Royal Gardens of Herrenhausen, cascades and fountains ease the soul. His baroque fashion and Europes biggest fountain are extraordinary. Enjoy the magic of a former century.
